NAMI Spokane envisions a world where all those impacted by mental health conditions know they are
not alone and are empowered to live their most fulfilling lives. We are the Spokane affiliate of the
National Alliance on Mental Illness, a small non-profit 501(c)(3) working to meet unmet mental health
needs within our community through advocacy, awareness, education, and support. All of our education
courses, support groups and advocacy forums are volunteer lead and free to the public. Our services are
funded through membership dues, donations, and grants.
For the first time in our 38-year history, NAMI Spokane is seeking to hire a collaborative, strategic, and passionate Executive Director. Working closely with the Board of Directors and NAMI Spokane’s deeply committed volunteers, the Executive Director will develop and execute a strategic plan focusing on delivering high-quality programs and ensuring financial sustainability for the organization. The ideal candidate should embrace and embody NAMI Spokane’s organizational values of self-care, empowerment, and integrity, and our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. We believe that how we achieve our mission is just as important as the mission itself. As our Executive Director, you will play a key role in improving the infrastructure of the organization, and building relationship that support expanding NAMI’s presence and capacity to deliver high-quality programs and services available to all those impacted by mental health conditions.
Position Title: Executive Director
Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week)
Location: Spokane, WA
Salary Range: $60,000 – $65,000
Benefits: Health care stipend, 12 paid holidays, paid sick and vacation time

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director (ED) leads NAMI Spokane in its delivery
of legislative advocacy, awareness, support, and education to families impacted by mental illness, and
provides thoughtful leadership to volunteers and staff. The ED is responsible for oversight of all agency operations and for ensuring consistent progress is made toward NAMI Spokane’s mission and vision. ED enjoys the flexibility in working remotely or in our office in the Peyton Building in downtown Spokane, WA.
